We have experts in the total enterprise of managing any aspect of a project commercially to deliver best value to our customers. We have been the winner of procurement advisor category in the PFI sector, which is a very commercially competitive market.

Cost estimating
We are well versed in the production of any class of estimate in accordance with the client’s. We have access to our own extensive in-house cost data. Our cost research unit based in Norwich provides us with near real-time cost data which is continuously updated with remote access via secure links. For our nuclear decommissioning work we pride ourselves on being able to generate robust estimates – and by using planning software we can generate specific cost programmes for all tasks involved. We provided key individuals that facilitated the roll out estimating software throughout BNG Magnox. In support of the site wide estimating Support to Magnox we have procured software to allow estimates to be prepared remotely and fed into client systems.

Quantity surveying
Mott MacDonald has a team of qualified quantity surveyors who are capable of providing a comprehensive service. At Sellafield we provide a fully integrated quantity surveying service for British Nuclear Group.

Risk management
At Mott MacDonald we understand the importance of programme, cost and project risks. In all of our project management methods we integrate a standard risk register to record the risks that might occur plus, more crucially, their control measures.
