The nuclear power renaissance is now well underway
throughout the world. New nuclear power plants are now seen as a
bulk source of low carbon electricity and a hedge against uncertain
fossil fuel prices.
Mott MacDonald has a long heritage of involvement in design and
asset management in nuclear power, and has more recently become
involved in some of the key new build projects around the world. A
noteworthy role is that of owner’s claims manager for the Olkiluoto
3 project in Finland, the first application of the AREVA reactor
design, seen by many as the lead project globally for the next wave
of nuclear construction.
